Arizona is the Perfect Adventure for Families

A month ago, I had the opportunity to travel to Arizona for work — and honestly, I was blown away. From the warm desert sun to the stunning mountain views, I kept thinking to myself, I have to bring my boys here someday. I pictured my two sons, ages 11 and 14, hiking rugged trails, spotting cacti taller than them, and being completely awestruck by the vast beauty of the Grand Canyon. Now, it’s at the top of our family travel list.

During my trip, I spent a little time in Phoenix, and I could immediately tell it’s a place my boys would love. The city has so much to offer families — from cool museums to water parks — but what really stuck with me was Camelback Mountain. Standing there, looking up at the steep rocky peak, I could already imagine the adventure of climbing it together. The hike isn’t easy, but I know my boys would be up for the challenge (and probably race me to the top). Plus, the view from up there? Absolutely worth it.

But the biggest draw for me — and the trip I’m already dreaming about — is taking my boys to see the Grand Canyon. I mean, how often do you get to stand at the edge of something so vast, so humbling, and so beautiful? I can already hear my 11-year-old asking a million questions about how it was formed, and my 14-year-old plotting out which trail we should hike down. It’s one of those family adventures I know we’ll remember forever.
